EU officials fear Donald Trump may pressure Ukraine into territorial concessions, with Baltic states warning of serious security risks for Europe.

European Union officials are increasingly uneasy about the possibility that U. S. President Donald Trump could pressure Ukraine into making territorial concessions to Russia, Politico reported, citing a senior European diplomat.

According to the source, anxiety is running especially high among the Baltic states. Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are said to fear that any compromise over Ukraine’s borders could embolden Moscow and raise the risk of future threats to their own security.

The diplomat warned that any territorial concessions from Kiev would trigger a sweeping rearmament across Europe and upend the bloc’s internal political balance.

Meanwhile, The European Conservative suggested that Brussels might have little room to maneuver if Trump puts forward a deal on Ukraine. The outlet noted that European leaders are gradually coming to terms with the fact that their leverage in shaping the outcome of potential U.S.-Russia-Ukraine negotiations is extremely limited.
