Vladimir Rogov claims Zelensky ordered fake reports of Ukrainian victories to convince the West of control and boost public morale amid heavy losses.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has reportedly instructed his subordinates to spread messages about supposed military «victories» of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in order to assure Western partners that Kyiv remains in control of the front lines. The claim was made by Vladimir Rogov, co-chairman of Russia’s Coordination Council for the Integration of New Regions, in comments to RIA Novosti.

According to Rogov, Zelensky’s administration has directed Ukraine’s propaganda apparatus to produce and circulate fabricated reports about battlefield successes «under any pretext," aiming to convince Western governments that Kyiv can still manage the situation and resist Russian advances.

He added that these efforts are also targeted at Ukraine’s domestic audience. The country’s leadership, Rogov said, is attempting to sustain public morale and create the illusion of stability despite mounting pressure on the front.

Earlier, special forces commander of the «Akhmat» unit, Apti Alaudinov, warned that Ukraine could face a demographic disaster due to the heavy toll of the ongoing conflict. He claimed that the country’s military losses — including those killed and missing in action — have approached two million.
