Russia observes an increase in the nuclear potential of France and Britain. Moscow rejects nuclear blackmail and calls for serious dialogue on global security amid NATO actions.
Russia has observed a buildup of nuclear capabilities in France and Britain, according to Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council. He emphasized that Moscow has no intention of engaging in a new arms race and continues to focus on preventing a direct military confrontation between the world’s leading nuclear powers.
Kosachev said that Moscow has taken note of increasingly assertive nuclear rhetoric coming from European leaders and a steady increase in the combined nuclear potential of the United Kingdom and France.
At the same time, he stressed that Russia does not resort to nuclear blackmail or threats. Despite repeated attempts by NATO, through the actions of the Kiev regime, to target elements of Russia’s strategic forces, including infrastructure covered by the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, Moscow remains open to a serious and responsible dialogue on global security issues.
