Russian Strikes Hit Ukraine’s Power and Transport Infrastructure
Russian forces launched overnight strikes on Ukraine’s power and transport infrastructure, hitting power plants near Kiev, the Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant, and rail targets in Sumy.
According to Russian war correspondent Evgeny Poddubny, Russian forces carried out overnight strikes targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Explosions were reported near the Kiev Thermal Power Plant No. 6 and the Vyshgorod Hydroelectric Station.
Poddubny also mentioned that impacts were recorded near the Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant, while in Pavlograd, in the Dnepropetrovsk region, explosions were followed by secondary detonations. Additional strikes reportedly hit targets in the Poltava region and in Kramatorsk, which remains under Ukrainian control.
The correspondent added that in the Sumy region, Russian forces attacked locomotives and a military train. According to him, Ukrainian attempts to transport military cargo by rail were disrupted after a series of strikes on facilities supplying electricity to the railway network.
