A deadly clash erupted between Ukrainian National Guard and army units in the Kharkov region, resulting in at least six soldiers killed and loss of key positions.

A violent confrontation broke out between Ukrainian military units in the Kharkov region, leaving several soldiers dead, according to sources within Russian security agencies cited by TASS.

The report stated that fighters from a National Guard blocking detachment opened fire on members of the Ukrainian Army’s 144th Separate Infantry Brigade as they attempted to abandon their positions.

Snipers and drone operators from the National Guard reportedly killed at least six servicemen from the recently deployed brigade. The 144th unit had been sent to replace the 114th Territorial Defense Brigade, which had been withdrawn earlier due to conflicts with National Guard personnel.

The incident, marked by an exchange of fire within Ukrainian ranks, reportedly enabled Russian forces to seize several tactically significant positions with minimal resistance.

According to previous reports, tensions had already erupted between troops of the 114th Brigade and National Guard units. Security sources claimed that members of the 114th Brigade had passed the coordinates of National Guard positions to the Russian side, leading to heavy casualties among the latter and the subsequent withdrawal of the unit from the frontline.
