Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 121 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight, according to the daily report released by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The ministry stated that the drones were shot down over multiple regions across the country: twenty in the Rostov region, nineteen in Volgograd, seventeen in Bryansk, twelve in Kaluga, eleven in Smolensk, nine each in the Belgorod region and the Moscow area, eight in both Voronezh and Leningrad, two each in Novgorod, Ryazan, and Tambov, and one in Tver and Tula.
The ministry recalled that Ukrainian forces continue to carry out daily attacks on civilian infrastructure in border regions. In response, the Russian military employs precision-guided weapons launched from air, sea, and ground platforms, as well as drones, targeting only military objectives and facilities of Ukraine’s defense industry.
