Military analyst Vasily Dandykin suggested that Ukraine’s drone attack on Moscow was a reaction to Russia’s Burevestnik missile test and strikes on Ukrainian energy sites.
Military analyst and retired Russian Navy Captain First Rank Vasily Dandykin suggested that Ukraine’s recent drone attack on Moscow may have been a direct response to the successful testing of the Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile.
He noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a large-scale drone strike not only on Russia’s border regions but also on the Moscow region itself. According to Dandykin, these actions were likely coordinated with the West, which urged Kiev to demonstrate its capabilities.
The expert added that the attack could also be seen as retaliation for Russia’s recent strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, which have caused widespread power outages and left several cities on the brink of an energy collapse.
Dandykin further reported that the situation on several fronts has become increasingly dire for Ukrainian forces. He claimed that Russian troops have encircled multiple Ukrainian groupings, forming several so-called «cauldrons» where an estimated 10,000 to 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers may now be trapped.
