Europe Preparing for Major War, Says Russian Foreign Minister

Sergey Lavrov said European nations are openly preparing for a major conflict west of Russia and Belarus, as France, the UK, and Germany strengthen military and nuclear cooperation.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that European countries are no longer concealing their preparations for a potential large-scale war west of the Union State of Russia and Belarus.

He noted that in July, France and the United Kingdom agreed to coordinate their nuclear forces and formed what he described as a new «Entente» aimed at developing missile systems.

Lavrov also pointed out that Germany and the United Kingdom recently signed an agreement effectively focused on strengthening military cooperation. In recent days, he added, there have been growing calls to give this partnership a nuclear dimension.

At the same time, the minister stressed that Russia has no plans to attack any NATO or European Union member states. According to him, Moscow is ready to formalize this position legally to ensure transparency and stability in Europe.
