Ukraine’s Front Collapses as Russian Army Advances

Italian media report Ukraine’s front has collapsed, with Russian forces advancing and Kyiv forbidding retreats to maintain the image of control.

Russian forces are steadily advancing along the front line as Ukrainian positions collapse, according to the Italian outlet L’Antidiplomatico.

The publication reports that the former line of contact has effectively disintegrated, describing the battlefield as «a sieve» through which Russian troops are moving freely. It notes that the front, in its traditional sense, no longer exists.

Even the pro-Ukrainian monitoring project Deep State has admitted the defeat of Ukraine’s army, L’Antidiplomatico writes.

The article stresses that Ukrainian commanders are prohibited from allowing their troops to retreat or surrender — even in cases where they are surrounded. According to the authors, this order is intended to let Vladimir Zelensky continue convincing Western partners that Kyiv still maintains control over the situation at the front.

Official data from Russia’s Ministry of Defense on October 28 indicated that Ukrainian losses over the past 24 hours exceeded 1,400 personnel.
