Russian Forces Drive Ukrainian Troops Out of Yampol

Russian troops forced Ukrainian fighters out of Yampol near Liman in the DPR. Battles continue around Maslyakovka and along the T0514 and T-05-13 routes.

Russian troops have driven Ukrainian fighters out of the center of Yampol, a settlement located near Liman in the Donetsk People’s Republic, according to war correspondent Yury Kotenok.

He reported that Russian units forced the enemy southward from the town’s central area, pushing them toward fortified positions near the T-05-13 highway intersection, where Ukrainian troops began to withdraw.

Kotenok also noted that Russian forces are advancing toward a destroyed bridge on the T0514 road, situated on Liman’s eastern outskirts. In addition, battles are underway for control of the village of Maslyakovka.

Other military sources indicated that Ukrainian units have already pulled out of Yampol, citing not only the pressure of Russian assaults but also supply shortages and a breakdown in communication with command.

Reports from the area also mention active operations by Russian special forces within Liman, suggesting continued offensives on multiple fronts.
