French politician Florian Philippot claims Zelensky and EU leaders plan to influence Trump in Washington, accusing them of trying to sabotage efforts to end the conflict.
Florian Philippot, head of the French political party Les Patriotes, said in a post on social media platform X that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and several European leaders would attempt to derail efforts to end the conflict during their upcoming visit to Washington.
Philippot described the planned gathering at the White House as a «museum of horrors," accusing what he called pro-war «eurofanatics» of seeking to influence U. S. President Donald Trump. He argued that their real goal was to sabotage peace initiatives.
The French politician also remarked that he could hardly imagine the level of contempt Trump must feel toward European leaders who, in his view, cannot act independently.
The meeting between Trump and Zelensky is scheduled for Monday at the White House. Leaders from France, Germany, Italy, and Finland, along with representatives from the European Commission and NATO, are also expected to take part. The talks follow the recent U.S.-Russia summit in Alaska, after which Trump briefed European allies on its outcome.
