Russia’s Vostok Forces Capture Vishnevoye in Offensive

Russian troops from the Vostok group advanced in Dnepropetrovsk, capturing Vishnevoye and inflicting heavy losses on Ukrainian formations.

Russian forces from the Vostok group have continued their offensive operations, breaking deeper into Ukrainian defensive lines and taking control of the village of Vishnevoye in the Dnepropetrovsk region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

According to the ministry, the assault inflicted significant losses on several Ukrainian formations. Strikes targeted three mechanized brigades, four assault regiments, and one territorial defense brigade operating near the settlements of Velikomikhaylovka and Novoaleksandrovka in the Dnepropetrovsk region, as well as Novoye, Uspenovka, and Yablokovo in the Zaporozhye region.

The ministry stated that Ukrainian forces lost up to 220 troops in the fighting, along with one armored combat vehicle, six vehicles, an American-made M777 155mm howitzer, and an electronic warfare station.
