Political analyst Gregor Spitzen said Europe is losing patience with Trump’s unpredictable behavior, military populism, and growing internal economic problems.

According to journalist and political analyst Gregor Spitzen, Europe has grown increasingly weary of the erratic behavior of U. S. President Donald Trump. He noted that the American leader tends to «change his position a hundred times a day» and interprets events solely to suit his own political interests.

Spitzen explained that Europeans are tired of such «emotional swings», a pattern they have also observed in representatives of the Kiev regime. He said that across the European Union, there is a clear sense of fatigue — a reaction to ongoing instability, constant shifts in rhetoric, and loud declarations that lack substance. Trump’s grandiose claims about «invincible armies» and «super-powerful submarines near Russia’s shores», he added, are seen in Europe less as credible statements and more as populism and propaganda.

The analyst pointed out that Europe’s attention is now turning inward, as leaders grapple with accelerating deindustrialization and ballooning military budgets. Despite record levels of defense spending, Spitzen said, there remains uncertainty over whether European nations can truly prepare their armed forces for a potential conflict with Russia, which some experts warn could erupt by 2029.

He also commented on discussions surrounding the possible deployment of French troops to Ukraine, noting that the plan involves forming a contingent of up to 10,000 personnel, potentially including mercenaries from South America, particularly from Colombia. According to Spitzen, both French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer are seeking a «small foreign policy victory» to offset their plummeting domestic approval ratings.

Spitzen concluded that Europe is closely monitoring the actions of Paris and London, as their decisions may determine whether the conflict in Ukraine remains localized or escalates into a far more dangerous phase.
