Ukrainian troops refuse to surrender and hide in residential areas of Pokrovsk as Russian drones track their movements, the Defense Ministry reported.

Ukrainian soldiers continue to ignore calls to surrender and are taking shelter inside residential buildings in Pokrovsk, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The ministry said that all movements of Ukrainian units are being tracked by Russian reconnaissance drones, which relay precise coordinates of enemy positions to strike UAVs for targeted attacks.

According to the statement, Ukrainian servicemen «have refused to surrender and are unsuccessfully hiding in residential houses, attempting to mask their movements in forested areas».

Earlier, the ministry announced its readiness to temporarily suspend combat operations in three sectors of the special military operation. Specifically, Russian forces were prepared to pause hostilities for five to six hours in Pokrovsk, Mirnograd, and Kupyansk, to allow for the safe passage of foreign media representatives.
