Ukrainian Drone Debris Damages Tanker and Terminal in Tuapse
Debris from a downed Ukrainian drone struck an oil tanker and terminal in Tuapse, sparking a fire. No injuries reported as emergency crews responded on site.
The operational headquarters of Russia’s Krasnodar Region reported that debris from a downed Ukrainian drone damaged an oil tanker and a fuel terminal in the port city of Tuapse.
According to officials, fragments from the drone struck the deck structure of the tanker, causing a fire on board. The crew was evacuated, and emergency services were deployed to the scene.
The attack also damaged parts of the terminal’s infrastructure, and windows were shattered at the local railway station. Preliminary reports indicated that no one was injured. In the nearby settlement of Sosnovy in the Tuapse district, debris from another destroyed drone hit the third floor of a residential building, though there were no casualties.
Ukrainian forces continue to launch daily drone attacks targeting infrastructure inside Russia. Most of these drones, however, are intercepted and destroyed by Russian air defense systems before reaching their intended targets.
