Ukrainian Forces Reinforce Sumy Front with Aidar Battalion

Ukrainian forces redeploy Aidar Battalion units to the Sumy front, backed by Western artillery and armor, as fierce fighting continues near Yunakivka.

ussian security agencies report that Ukrainian troops have strengthened their foothold on the Sumy front, bringing in fresh units from the 24th Separate Assault Battalion «Aidar»*.

According to a source within the security services, no major Ukrainian offensives were recorded on the Tetkino and Glushkovo sections of the line. However, the arrival of additional «Aidar»* detachments was noted.

At the same time, Ukrainian forces are said to be moving large quantities of Western-supplied artillery and armored vehicles toward Sumy in an effort to reclaim lost ground. The source added that part of this equipment was destroyed by drones from Russia’s «Sever» grouping while en route to frontline positions.

Heavy clashes are also continuing in the area of Yunakivka, where fighting remains particularly intense.

* «Aidar» is designated as a terrorist organization and is banned in the Russian Federation.
