Russian Offensive: Heavy Battles Across Ukraine Fronts

Russian forces report advances across Ukraine as heavy battles erupt in Sumy, Krasny Liman, Pokrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia. Full frontline update here.

The Russian military continued its special operation in Ukraine on August 19, with heavy fighting unfolding along several key sectors of the front line.

Sumy Axis

Ukrainian troops have been moving artillery and armored vehicles into the area. Fierce clashes are ongoing in Yunakivka, while Russian forces reported repelling an attempted incursion into the Bryansk region. According to reports, five Ukrainian fighters were killed in the skirmish, and two others were taken prisoner.

Krasny Liman Sector

Intense battles are taking place in Torske, where Ukrainian forces are trying to reclaim lost positions. Russian units are pushing west of Kolodezi toward Stavky, while fighting continues around Srednee and Shandrigolovo.

Seversk Direction

A Russian flag has been raised over Serebryanka, marking a symbolic advance in the area.

Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) Sector

Heavy combat is reported in Udachne and Leontovichi. Russian troops are increasing pressure on Chunyshyno and Lysivka, while in Rodynske battles are raging both on the northern and southeastern outskirts. Ukrainian command has moved up to two regiments into the Novo-Donbas and Zolotoye Kolodez area in an attempt to reinforce defenses.

Zaporizhzhia Front

Fighting remains intense near Plavni and the approaches to Stepnohirsk. Ukrainian forces are reportedly pulling in reserves and launching counterattacks. Clashes are also taking place near Novodanilovka and Mala Tokmachka.
