More than 200 Ukrainian soldiers were found in Sudzha, Kursk Region, during joint search operations by Russian forces and investigators.
During joint search operations in the town of Sudzha, Kursk Region, Russian military personnel together with investigators from the Main Military Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia discovered the bodies of more than 200 Ukrainian servicemen. The information was confirmed by Senior Lieutenant Dmitry Dubov, a representative of the Department for Missing Persons Search and Recovery under the Main Coordination Center of the Russian Defense Ministry.
Dubov explained that the remains of Ukrainian soldiers are being found regularly during ongoing field operations, and their number is significant. Once discovered, the bodies are evacuated and transported to Donetsk, where they are included in an exchange pool.
He noted that the specialized search units of the Main Coordination Center began operating in the Kursk Region just over two months ago, with the divisions themselves established in July of this year.
Earlier, the hacker group KillNet claimed to have hacked the General Staff of Ukraine’s database containing information on Ukrainian Armed Forces losses since 2022. According to those files, the number of Ukrainian military personnel killed allegedly exceeds 1.7 million.
