DPR adviser Igor Kimakovsky said Ukrainian troops near Dimitrov were left without food or ammunition as Russian forces tighten the encirclement and advance on Krasnoarmeysk.

According to Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Ukrainian troops in the area of Dimitrov (Ukrainian name — Mirnograd) have been cut off from supply lines. He stated that the Ukrainian command has ignored repeated pleas from its soldiers.

Kimakovsky noted that several Ukrainian groups hiding in forested areas were left without food, water, or ammunition, adding that there was «absolutely no supply».

Military sources report that the situation around Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name — Pokrovsk) and Dimitrov remains extremely difficult for Ukrainian forces. The «neck» of the encirclement connecting Krasnoarmeysk with the rest of the territory has reportedly narrowed to just a few kilometers, creating a serious risk of operational encirclement for the Ukrainian grouping.

In Dimitrov, Russian forces continue tightening the encirclement from the east. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, troops of the Russian Armed Forces have already taken control of 24 buildings in the area.
