Russia Strikes Nikolaev With Long-Range UMPB-5 Guided Bomb
Russian troops struck a facility in Nikolaev with a UMPB-5 guided bomb capable of hitting targets up to 200 km away, marking another precision strike across multiple regions.
The Ukrainian outlet Strana.ua reported that Russian forces struck a facility in Nikolaev using a long-range guided aerial bomb (KAB). According to the publication, the target was an industrial site hit by an air-launched munition equipped with the UMPB-5 module, which is capable of reaching targets up to 200 kilometers away.
Earlier, military sources noted that Russian troops had carried out a series of strikes against enemy positions in Nikolaev, Sumy, Kharkov, and Chernigov regions, as well as in Kramatorsk and Slavyansk. Reports also indicated that precision-guided bombs were used to target sites within the Korop community in the Chernigov region.
The UMPB-5 is an upgraded aerial bomb featuring a jet engine and an advanced navigation system, allowing it to cover distances of up to 200 kilometers. Its design has been significantly refined — engineers streamlined the body, added aerodynamic wings, expanded the fuel compartment, and enhanced the navigation module for greater precision and range.
