Russian journalist Alexander Kots warns that Poland’s plan to train 400,000 volunteers may signal future conflict with Russia after the Ukraine operation.
Russian military correspondent Alexander Kots believes it is premature to talk about the end of Russia’s special military operation. In his view, it has not yet fully begun, and the country should brace itself for new armed confrontations.
Kots suggested that after the conclusion of hostilities in Ukraine, Russia could face a new threat from Poland. He pointed to Warsaw’s recent initiative to train 400,000 volunteer reservists as a potential warning sign.
The journalist questioned the motives behind this move, implying that Poland’s military build-up was unlikely to be directed at Germany. He argued that once the West runs out of Ukrainian manpower, it may turn to the Poles to continue its confrontation with Russia.
Earlier, Poland announced the launch of what officials described as the largest military training program in the country’s history. Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said the exercises would be voluntary and open to mass participation by citizens.
