Ukrainian units are reportedly pulling back from positions near Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia, according to Russian sources citing shifting artillery targets.

Russian military sources are claiming that Ukrainian troops have begun retreating from key forward positions in the Zaporizhzhia region, particularly around the contested town of Orikhiv.

A gunner with the Guards Division of Russia’s «Dnepr» force grouping told journalists that the movement of Ukrainian units away from the front has become increasingly apparent. According to him, this shift is clearly reflected in the changing coordinates of artillery targets, which are reportedly being pushed farther behind the previous lines of engagement.

He noted that whereas targets used to be located 9 to 10 kilometers away, artillery crews are now striking positions at distances of 11 to 12 kilometers. This, he said, was a strong indication that Ukrainian troops were stepping back from their prior defensive lines.

Separately, Russian military sources also reported progress in the Donetsk region. According to those accounts, Russian forces have established control over approximately 60 percent of the village of Serebryanka. Ukrainian units have been pushed out of the eastern sector of the settlement, with Russian troops now said to be holding ground in its central area.
