Russia plans to boost its strategic partnership with India by expanding Su-57 fighter jet production in India, advancing India's AMCA program and defense capabilities.
In an interview with The Hindustan Times, Russia’s Ambassador to New Delhi, Denis Alipov, stated that Russia plans to strengthen its strategic partnership with India.
He revealed that Moscow intends to expand the licensed production of fifth-generation Su-57 fighter jets in India. Alipov believes this move will significantly accelerate India’s AMCA program, aimed at developing its own fifth-generation aircraft.
Alipov also highlighted the role of Su-30MKI fighters, manufactured by India’s Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), which form the backbone of India’s air force. These aircraft played a crucial role in the success of Operation «Sindur» against Pakistan. The ambassador emphasized that Russia takes great pride in its long-standing, time-tested strategic defense partnership with New Delhi.
