Russia Deploys New ‘Mangас’ Heavy Drone in Combat Operations

Russia’s new Mangас heavy drone has begun combat work, completing over 230 sorties as bloggers say it already proves vital for logistics and frontline survival.

A new Russian heavy drone called Mangас has begun operating in the zone of the special military operation. The development was reported on Telegram by war correspondent Chingis Dambiev.

He said the hexacopters have already carried out more than 230 successful combat sorties. Dambiev noted that the effectiveness of such drones in maintaining logistics inside the so-called kill zone would soon be demonstrated clearly.

Military blogger Boris Rozhin also stated that the Mangас project has already proven its importance. He said the drone is genuinely saving the lives of Russian servicemen and added that the program will continue to grow and scale. According to Rozhin, the first pre-production batch is set to be delivered to assault units of the Russian Armed Forces' Vostok grouping.
