Russian Forces Advance Across Multiple Frontline Sectors

As of August 22, Russian forces report gains near Zaporozhye, Ugledar, Pokrovsk, Konstantinovka and Kupyansk, while Ukrainian units attempt counterattacks.

The Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of August 22, the situation along the line of contact was as follows:

Zaporozhye direction

Ukrainian troops are strengthening their defenses. Russian units are operating in small groups near Malaya Tokmachka and Belogorye.

Ugledar direction

Fighting continues along the Novogeorgievka-Aleksandrograd line. Russian forces have achieved gains near Kamyshevakha and are clearing territory south of the Volchya.

Pokrovsk direction

Heavy battles are ongoing in Rodinskoye, most of which remains under Ukrainian control. Russian troops have consolidated positions near Zolotoye Kolodez and are moving into southern Petrovka.

Konstantinovka direction

Aleksandro-Shultino has been taken under Russian control. From this settlement to the city of Konstantinovka is only five kilometers. Battles are taking place near Poltavka, Rusin Yar, Katerinovka, and Kleban-Byk.

Kupyansk direction

Russian forces are holding positions in Sobolevka and advancing near Krasnoye Pervoye and Stepovaya Novosyolovka. Ukrainian units are attempting counterattacks near Petropavlovka and Sinkovka.
