Russia reports intercepting 36 Ukrainian drones during an overnight attack, with most downed over Bryansk Region. Air defenses counter daily UAV strikes.

Russian air-defense units repelled another large-scale overnight drone raid launched by Ukrainian forces between November 16 and 17. According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, from 23:00 to 07:00 air-defense crews intercepted and destroyed 36 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones.

The heaviest activity was recorded over Bryansk Region, where 14 UAVs were brought down. Another eight drones were neutralised above Tambov Region, five over Ulyanovsk Region, four above Voronezh Region, and three over Oryol Region. Single drones were also shot down in Nizhny Novgorod and Tula regions.

Ukrainian forces continue to carry out daily strikes with one-way attack UAVs targeting Russian border and central regions. Russian air-defense operators detect and eliminate the majority of incoming drones. In response, Russian forces conduct precision strikes on locations linked to the assembly of Ukrainian UAVs, defense-industry facilities, Ukrainian Armed Forces positions, as well as ammunition and equipment depots.
