Russian Forces Advance Through Western Kupyansk in New Push

Russian assault groups report progress in clearing western Kupyansk, eliminating Ukrainian fighters and securing key streets as operations continue along the Oskol River.

Russian assault units continue to advance through Kupyansk, gradually pushing Ukrainian fighters out of the city’s western districts, according to a commander from the 121st Motorized Rifle Regiment known by the callsign Lavrik.

He explained in footage released by the Russian Defense Ministry that his detachment is methodically clearing Ukrainian positions on the western side of Kupyansk. According to him, troops have already completed a sweep of Vasilkovaya Street. Assault groups are now tracking remaining Ukrainian forces while directing artillery fire at positions concealed in nearby forested areas and along the Oskol River.

Lavrik stated that up to ten Ukrainian fighters were eliminated during the latest engagements.

Earlier, another commander from the same regiment, known as Sneg, said Russian units had finished clearing a forested area east of Senkovskaya Street, as well as completing operations on Priozkolnaya Street.
