Drunken Intel Leak Exposes Abrams Tanks in Ukraine

Sergey Lebedev explains how a GUR officer’s drunken remarks exposed the location of U.S. Abrams tanks, enabling a Russian strike that destroyed five vehicles and 20 troops.

Sergey Lebedev, a coordinator of the Nikolaev underground resistance, told journalists how Russian forces identified the location of U.S.-made Abrams tanks deployed in Ukraine. According to him, the operation turned out to be far from complicated: the key information was leaked by an intoxicated officer of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR). After receiving the tip, Russian forces carried out a precise strike on a cluster of Western equipment in the Kharkov region.

Lebedev said, as quoted by RIA Novosti, that the underground movement expressed «deep gratitude to their colleagues who passed along the drunken remarks of a high-ranking GUR officer revealing the location of the Abrams tanks.»

As a result of the nighttime strike on the tank site in the town of Berestin in the Kharkov region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost five American-made Abrams tanks and twenty personnel, according to the report.
