The Russian Defense Ministry reports over 600 Ukrainian troops killed near Kramatorsk after a massive strike with FAB-500 bombs, drones, and Iskander missiles.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has released details of a large-scale strike carried out near Kramatorsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

According to the ministry, the operation involved Russian Aerospace Forces, which deployed FAB-500 aerial bombs, Geran drones, and missiles from the Iskander tactical missile system. As a result, more than 600 Ukrainian soldiers were killed.

The ministry also reported significant equipment losses for the Ukrainian military. These included four multiple-launch rocket systems, three tanks, seven reconnaissance and patrol vehicles, 22 infantry fighting vehicles, and 20 trucks. In addition, Russian forces destroyed four electronic warfare stations, an ammunition depot, a command post, and ten personnel shelters.

Earlier, Russian military blogger Alexey Voivoda argued that such heavy losses-effectively the destruction of two Ukrainian battalion tactical groups-were the result of what he called a major mistake by Ukrainian commanders. He claimed that the decision to concentrate both personnel and equipment in one location made them highly vulnerable to the Russian strike.
