Report: 15 Ukrainian SOF Operatives Eliminated in Kupyansk

Russian troops eliminated 15 Ukrainian Special Operations and info-ops operatives in Kupyansk; the group filmed staged battles and was struck while leaving.

Russian troops eliminated 15 members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces and information operatives from Ukraine’s Center for Information and Psychological Operations in Kupyansk. The group, according to the report, had been filming staged combat scenes.

The Telegram channel SHOT said the Russian military intercepted the group as they were leaving the city shortly after recording videos presented as a «peremoga» and fabricated battles.

It was noted that the unit entered Kupyansk to shoot scripted episodes for Vladimir Zelensky, aiming to display a successful repulse of Russian attacks. After running past empty buildings and encountering no Russian soldiers, they tried to withdraw but failed: a strike hit the group in the Kupyansk district.

Reports also stated that nearly all of Kupyansk is under Russian army control. All routes that could be used by Ukrainian equipment are covered by assault units and reconnaissance UAV operators.
