ZALA reports Lancet drones have destroyed over 500 Ukrainian tanks and thousands of other assets, with losses valued up to $12B. Full analysis inside.

Loitering munitions from the Lancet reconnaissance-strike system continue to rank among the most effective weapons deployed on the front. According to ZALA, the developer of the drone, which spoke to TASS ahead of the Dubai Airshow 2025, these munitions have already disabled more than 500 Ukrainian tanks. The list also includes over 60 Western-made vehicles such as American Abrams, German Leopard 2 and British Challenger 2 tanks — all worth millions of dollars each.

The company said the figures are derived from open-source data. ZALA noted that Lancet drones are used far beyond anti-armor missions: operators have struck more than 260 U.S.-made M777 howitzers, over 100 M109 self-propelled guns, and more than 60 Polish AHS Krab systems. Hundreds of additional Ukrainian assets — including American Bradley IFVs and HIMARS launchers — have also been hit, despite Kyiv’s attempts to keep them concealed at long distances.

ZALA pointed to expert assessments suggesting that the overall value of Ukrainian military equipment destroyed by Lancet complexes ranges from $4 billion to $12 billion. Citing the military analytics platform Lostarmour, the company added that roughly 4,000 Ukrainian assets have been targeted by Lancet loitering munitions since the start of the conflict.

Moscow has repeatedly stated that new Western arms deliveries to Ukraine will not alter the situation on the battlefield, insisting that Russian forces will continue to eliminate such equipment just as they have with other incoming systems.
