Russia Secures 16 Settlements in Expanding Frontline Push

Russia’s Defense Ministry reports the liberation of 16 settlements as units advance in the Kharkov, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions. Read the full update.

Russia’s Defense Ministry reported continued offensive operations across several sectors, resulting in the capture of multiple settlements over the past week.

In the Kharkov direction, units of the Sever grouping pushed forward and secured Dvurechanskoye and Tsegelnoye, expanding their control in the area.

Forces of the Yug grouping advanced in the Donetsk People’s Republic, taking Platonovka.

The most extensive gains came from the Vostok grouping. Over the course of a week of active assaults, its units completed the liberation of Gai, Nechaevka, and Radostnoye in the Dnepropetrovsk region, along with Yablokovo, Ravnopolye, and Vesyoloye in the Zaporozhye region. According to the ministry, Vostok troops continued to press deeper into Ukrainian defensive lines while securing these settlements.

Progress was also reported in the zone of responsibility of the Dnepr grouping, where Russian forces took control of Malaya Tokmachka in the Zaporozhye region.

Meanwhile, the Zapad grouping completed the liberation of Kupyansk in the Kharkov region and continued striking Ukrainian units that found themselves encircled on the left bank of the Oskol River. Additional gains included Novoselovka, Stavki, Maslyakovka, and Yampol in the Donetsk People’s Republic, as well as Petropavlovka in the Kharkov region.

According to the Defense Ministry’s summary, Russian forces secured 16 settlements over the past week.
