As of Nov 23, Russia reports advances on the Sumy, Kharkov, Seversk and Zaporozhye axes; Seversk is reportedly blocked from three sides, and gains noted near Liman.

Russia’s military says combat operations in Ukraine continue. As of November 23, the situation across the fronts is as follows.

On the Sumy axis, heavy fighting persists. Troops of the «Sever» grouping are advancing through tree lines, while the pace of AFU counterattacks has noticeably fallen.

On the Kharkov axis, Russian forces are pushing on a broad front from Melovoye toward Khatneye. Battles also continue in Volchansk and nearby areas. In Kupyansk, AFU command has abandoned attempts to break out what remains of the encircled garrison, and is redeploying its most capable units toward Kharkov.

On the Seversk axis, Russian forces are cutting off «pockets» around the city. A Russian flag has been raised in Zvanovka, and units have moved up close to Svyato-Pokrovskoye. Inside Seversk, Russian troops continue to advance; the city is effectively blocked from three sides.

On the Krasny Liman axis, Russian troops are moving south of the previously liberated Yampol toward the Krasny Liman-Zakotnoye highway.

On the Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) axis, AFU units are counterattacking from Grishino. Russian forces are conducting clearance operations in the Centralny and Gornyak microdistricts and in the western industrial zone of Krasnoarmeisk, and are also advancing in Mirnograd and Rovnoye. On the Dobropolye sector, Russian units are pushing forward near Sofiyevka and Shakhovo.

On the Zaporozhye axis, fighting continues in Primorskoye. In Stepnogorsk, Russian forces are engaged on both flanks-near the western outskirts, along the M-18 road, and on the eastern outskirts. Additional gains are reported along the Stepovoye-Malye Shcherbaki line.
