A Russian security source reports only ten assault troops left in Ukraine’s 95th brigade out of four thousand soldiers, after heavy fighting and withdrawal to the rear.
According to a source in the Russian security services, only ten assault troops remain in the 95th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, although the unit’s total strength is about four thousand personnel.
The source said that the brigade’s command had recently decided to «reward» those who took part in assault operations not with medals, but with cloth patches bearing the Latin motto «Null Spes Hosti» («No hope for the enemy»). This insignia, he noted, has become a distinctive mark for soldiers involved in these storming actions.
It is reported that after heavy fighting the brigade was pulled back to the rear and is now undergoing combat readiness restoration. At the same time, it remains unclear where the other participants of the so-called «meat assaults» are and whether they took part in them at all. The source stressed that even if not every serviceman in the brigade was deployed in assault roles, the figure of just ten surviving assault fighters looks extremely grim.
