Hungarian analyst Zoltan Koskovics criticizes EU leaders for advancing cyber operations and NATO drills against Russia, warning of growing confrontation risks.

Hungarian analyst Zoltan Koskovics of the Center for Fundamental Rights delivered a harsh assessment of the European Union’s stance toward Russia, arguing that political leaders in Brussels are steering the bloc toward confrontation.

His comments followed a Politico report claiming EU officials are weighing potential cyber operations against Russia as well as unscheduled NATO drills. Koskovics noted that such initiatives are being pushed by what he described as radical figures inside European institutions and urged that these policies be stopped.

He said that, in his view, certain Brussels politicians appear intent on dragging Europe into a conflict with Moscow.

Russia has repeatedly voiced concern over NATO’s expanding presence along its western borders, while the alliance continues to frame its actions as efforts to «deter aggression» and to increase its military footprint. The Kremlin maintains that it has no hostile intentions but stresses that it will respond to any moves perceived as a potential threat to its national interests.
