Russian MP Sobolev: Summer Operation in Ukraine Successful

Russian MP Viktor Sobolev called the summer campaign in Ukraine successful, noting Russian advances and urging strikes on infrastructure supplying Western weapons.

Russian State Duma deputy and member of the Defense Committee Viktor Sobolev summed up the results of the summer stage of the special military operation in Ukraine, noting that it had been successful for the Russian army, which continues to hold the initiative across all fronts.

Sobolev stated that the summer campaign was more active than previous ones, including the winter phase, with Russian forces taking control of multiple settlements. Overall, he described the season as successful.

Looking ahead, he suggested that no major changes should be expected on the front lines during the upcoming autumn campaign, given the current pace of events.

The deputy also called for greater focus on striking key infrastructure used to deliver Western weapons into Ukraine. He argued that such actions could complicate supply lines for the Ukrainian military and increase pressure on its forces.
