Russia says 33 Ukrainian drones downed overnight raid

Defence Ministry says air defences downed 33 Ukrainian drones over Rostov, Krasnodar, Belgorod, Kursk and the Black Sea, triggering flight restrictions.

Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that, during the night of November 30, air defense systems shot down 33 Ukrainian drones over several Russian regions.

The ministry said that, over the course of the night, on-duty air defense units destroyed and intercepted 33 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the military, the largest number of drones was downed over Rostov Region, where 16 UAVs were destroyed. Another seven were intercepted over Krasnodar Territory. Three drones were shot down over Belgorod Region and one over Kursk Region. Six more unmanned aircraft were destroyed over the waters of the Black Sea.

It was also noted that in the night of November 30, flight restrictions were introduced at three Russian airports. At 02:25 Moscow time, arrivals and departures were temporarily suspended in Gelendzhik, at 03:11 in Krasnodar, and at 06:47 in Saratov.
