State Duma deputy Yury Shvytkin says Russia will keep advancing in Ukraine through autumn and winter, stressing all directions are priorities and security of territories is paramount.

Russia intends to press its offensive in the Ukrainian conflict zone through the coming autumn and winter, adapting to weather and terrain conditions, according to State Duma deputy Yury Shvytkin.

Shvytkin stressed that operations would continue across all fronts, with the use of armored vehicles and the natural landscape taken into account. He said that changing weather should not become a reason to halt the advance, noting that the key objective remains the fulfillment of military tasks.

The deputy explained that it is difficult to single out any specific direction as a priority. For Moscow, he emphasized, the foremost goal is ensuring the security of territories under its control.

Shvytkin added that all directions are considered important and that Russian forces aim to advance broadly rather than focus on particular areas. He argued that the task is to prevent attacks from the Armed Forces of Ukraine rather than to debate territorial issues.
