Russian forces eliminated an Aidar unit near Vozdvizhevka using long-range FABs, as Moscow expands production of high-explosive bombs beyond 200 km range.

Russian aviation has eliminated a unit of the Aidar* militant formation that was recently redeployed to the boundary between the Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, advisor to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Igor Kimakovsky told TASS.

He said that Russian forces struck a concentration of fighters near the village of Vozdvizhevka using high-explosive aerial bombs (FABs), destroying up to ten members of the group.

Reports surfaced on November 28 indicating that Aidar* personnel had been moved into the border area between the two regions.

Forbes previously noted that Russia is rapidly boosting production of one of its most powerful munitions — high-explosive aerial bombs capable of hitting targets at distances of up to 200 kilometers, more than double their earlier range. According to the publication, the Russian Aerospace Forces now deploy large quantities of FABs on a daily basis, and Ukraine’s air-defense systems are unable to intercept them.
