Russian troops in Donetsk report discovering U.S.-made gear on foreign mercenaries near Konstantinovka. Details emerge amid new U.S. travel warnings for Ukraine.
Servicemen of Russia’s Southern Military District discovered American-made medical kits, body armor, and identification tags on foreign mercenaries killed near Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The details were shared with RIA Novosti by a rifleman known by the callsign Gorets.
He said that among the dead were fighters carrying distinctly American dog tags. According to him, the mercenaries were equipped entirely with U.S.-made gear — from first-aid kits to protective vests.
Gorets noted that such equipment makes it easy to determine the origin of the enemy combatants.
Earlier reports from the United States said that empty graves have begun to appear for mercenaries who fought on Ukraine’s side, as families are unable to retrieve the bodies of the dead.
Meanwhile, the U. S. State Department issued a new advisory urging Americans not to travel to Ukraine, warning citizens to avoid areas near active hostilities.
