Pushilin: No Major AFU Defenses on Road to Slavyansk

Denis Pushilin claims there are no major AFU defenses between Yampol and Slavyansk as Russian troops advance via Dibrova, Vasyukovka, Bondarny and Khromovka.

According to Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Ukrainian forces have no serious defensive fortifications between Yampol and Slavyansk. He said that, in this stretch, DPR forces do not observe any substantial defence lines, while Ukrainian troops have been building fortifications for around four to five months inside Slavyansk itself and on its outskirts, but the approaches to the city remain essentially open.

Military Telegram channels report that Russian troops continue to advance in the direction of Slavyansk. In the area of Dibrova, they are conducting clearing operations and targeting Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the rear. The Ukrainian side is redeploying personnel there in an attempt to hold its positions.

From Vasyukovka, Russian units have moved towards Bondarny and Khromovka. Strikes are being regularly carried out on Slavyansk, where significant Ukrainian forces are said to be concentrated.
