Russian troops of the 1st Tank Army advance to within 2 km of Borovaya on the Kharkov axis, with fighting near Boguslavka and Koroviy Yar putting AFU supply routes at risk.

Military analyst Yuri Podolyaka reports that Russian Armed Forces units are making steady gains toward the village of Borovaya on the Kharkov axis. He specified that troops of the 1st Tank Army have closed in to less than two kilometres from the settlement’s outskirts.

According to his commentary on his Telegram channel, only a single field now separates Russian positions from the administrative boundary of Borovaya, and, as he put it, this distance could soon be overcome, allowing troops to enter the former district centre.

Podolyaka also noted that Russian forces are currently engaged in heavy fighting in the village of Boguslavka, located about 12 kilometres from Borovaya, and are advancing in the area of Koroviy Yar.

Military Telegram channels believe that an assault on Ukrainian positions near Borovaya and the subsequent capture of the village would allow Russian troops to cut Ukrainian supply routes in the area of Novaya Kruglyakovka. In their assessment, given the ongoing Russian offensive on the neighbouring Kupyansk and Liman directions, the intensity of combat on this sector of the front is likely to increase significantly.
