Russia’s Defense Ministry reports 102 Ukrainian drones shot down overnight across multiple regions. Air defenses intercepted a large-scale UAV assault.

Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that its air-defense network confronted a large overnight barrage of Ukrainian unmanned aircraft, intercepting and destroying 102 fixed-wing drones. According to the ministry, the attack was concentrated on regions closest to the border.

Belgorod Region saw the heaviest activity, where air-defense crews brought down 26 drones. Another 22 were intercepted over Bryansk. In Kursk Region, 21 UAVs were taken out, while Rostov Region recorded 16 downed aircraft.

Additional interceptions were registered deeper inside the country: seven drones were neutralized above Astrakhan Region and six over Saratov. Four more were destroyed in the skies above Voronezh Region.

Russian officials note that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to launch daily strikes using fixed-wing kamikaze drones against border and central regions of the Russian Federation. The ministry maintains that most of these UAVs are detected and eliminated by Russian air-defense units before they can reach their targets.
