Russian Forces Secure Chervonoye in Deep Zaporozhye Push

Russian forces of the Vostok grouping seized Chervonoye in Zaporozhye, striking multiple Ukrainian units and destroying key equipment. Full details of the advance.

Russian forces from the «Vostok» grouping have continued pushing deeper into Ukrainian defensive lines, taking control of the settlement of Chervonoye in the Zaporozhye region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

According to the ministry, the advance was supported by strikes on several Ukrainian formations. Units from assault and three mechanized brigades, two assault regiments, a nationalist battalion, and territorial defense detachments came under fire. Fighting unfolded near Vozdvizhevka, Kosovtsevo, Zaliznichnoye, and Gulyaipole in the Zaporozhye region, as well as in the vicinity of Andreevka in the Dnepropetrovsk region.

The ministry stated that Ukrainian forces lost more than 235 servicemen in these engagements. Russian troops also destroyed a tank, three armored fighting vehicles, 18 trucks, a German 155-mm Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzer, a Czech Vampire MLRS vehicle, and an ammunition depot.
