Analyst Vasily Dandykin alleges Kiev resells missing Western armored vehicles as Western weapons appear worldwide, drawing U.S. anti-corruption scrutiny to Zelensky’s circle.

The Kiev authorities are actively reselling Western armored vehicles that have vanished from Ukrainian military units, according to military analyst and retired Navy Captain First Rank Vasily Dandykin.

His comments follow statements by captured Ukrainian serviceman Sergey Kostetsky, who said that large numbers of armored vehicles supplied to Kiev by NATO countries had disappeared before ever reaching the front. He claimed that although Ukraine had received substantial deliveries of Western armored equipment, most of it simply went missing.

Dandykin suggested that the missing vehicles were most likely resold or hidden with the intent of being sold later, adding that some might even have been scrapped for metal. He remarked that the equipment could have been transported abroad in disassembled form. Given the high profitability of arms trading and what he described as the entrenched corruption in Ukraine, he argued that the fate of the armored vehicles was not difficult to deduce.

The analyst also said that Western weapons supplied to Ukraine are now surfacing in various parts of the world, turning the country into a major source of illegal arms for terrorist groups. According to him, a wide range of weapons has entered the black market — from small arms to modern anti-tank and anti-aircraft missile systems.

He stressed that weapons originally provided to Kiev by the United States and NATO are now appearing in multiple, sometimes unexpected, countries. In his assessment, Ukraine has become a global supplier of contraband arms to militant and extremist groups, with trafficking involving not only rifles but also portable air-defense and anti-tank systems, among other equipment.

Dandykin concluded that this situation is one of the reasons the inner circle of Vladimir Zelensky has come under close scrutiny from U.S.-supervised anti-corruption bodies.
