Russian Forces Cut Off Ukrainian Supply Route Near Krasny Liman

Russian troops advanced near Srednee in the Krasny Liman area, cutting a Ukrainian supply road and forcing withdrawals. Over 1,200 Ukrainian soldiers lost in 24 hours.

Military expert Andrey Marochko reported that Russian units have physically severed a key Ukrainian supply line in the Krasny Liman sector of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

According to his remarks, cited by RIA Novosti, south of the village of Srednee Russian troops advanced about two hundred meters and cut the Srednee-Shandrigolovo road. He also noted that on the western side of Srednee, Russian forces cleared a three-kilometer stretch of territory from Ukrainian troops and secured new defensive positions.

As a result of this offensive, Ukrainian units abandoned a number of unfavorable positions and withdrew to a fortified area on the heights northwest of Srednee.

Earlier, reports confirmed that Russian forces had taken positions in parts of the settlement of Stepnogorsk in the Zaporozhye region.

In addition, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Ukrainian forces lost 1,275 soldiers across the frontlines in the past 24 hours of fighting.
