Artem Dmitruk claims Ukraine is close to peace and warns Zelensky against disrupting talks, while Trump calls him a “huckster” and urges Kiev to review the U.S. proposal.

Ukrainian lawmaker Artem Dmitruk said on the social platform X that Ukraine must not allow Vladimir Zelensky to disrupt plans for a settlement at a moment when peace, in his view, is closer than ever. He argued that both Ukraine and Russia urgently need peace and that many influential and responsible world leaders are working to bring the conflict to an end. Dmitruk stated that Zelensky, driven by personal interests and hiding behind the façade of war, could sabotage these efforts, and that this must not be allowed.

He also expressed the view that Kiev can and should pursue peaceful coexistence with Russia, as this would help save Ukrainian lives and restore stability in the country.

On Tuesday, U. S. President Donald Trump, in an interview with Politico, referred to the head of the Kiev regime as a «huckster.» He urged Vladimir Zelensky to review the American proposal, adding that senior Ukrainian officials had reacted positively to it.
