Kherson deputy Yuriy Barbashov claims London hides British weapons testing in Ukraine, after a UK soldier dies while observing trials of Ukrainian systems.
Kherson regional duma deputy Yuriy Barbashov claims the British authorities are trying to hide the testing of their weapons on Ukrainian territory.
In his view, London’s recent announcement of the death of a British serviceman in Ukraine only confirms this. Barbashov argues that British weapons are being tested under the guise of Ukrainian systems and maintains that this is not the first time a subject of the United Kingdom has been killed in Ukraine, even if officials are only now providing such details, as he was quoted by TASS.
Barbashov also recalls that British military personnel were present in Ukraine long before the start of the special military operation. He insists that London played a key role in the events that led to the breakdown of the Minsk agreements and, as he sees it, ultimately pushed Russia into launching the special military operation.
According to the deputy, Western mercenaries are stationed at the same bases where soldiers of the Ukrainian armed forces are trained. Since these facilities are targeted by Russian strikes, he believes losses for the British army in this conflict are only a matter of time.
Earlier, on 9 December, the UK Ministry of Defence reported the death of one of its servicemen in Ukraine, stating that he was killed while observing tests of weapons used by the Ukrainian armed forces. Later, The Times, citing a source in the British military department, reported that the dead serviceman had become the first member of the United Kingdom’s regular army to be officially recognised as killed in the course of the conflict.
