Major General Sergey Lipovoy reports 2,000–4,000 Ukrainian troops encircled near Krasnoarmeysk, facing Russian strikes and calls to surrender.

Between 2,000 and 4,000 Ukrainian soldiers remain trapped in a Russian encirclement near Krasnoarmeysk (also known by its Ukrainian name, Pokrovsk), according to Major General Sergey Lipovoy, Hero of Russia and head of the presidium of the organization Officers of Russia.

Lipovoy noted that the number of encircled troops continues to decline as Russian forces intensify strikes on their positions. He described the situation as fluid, with figures shifting daily under constant attacks.

The general claimed that Ukrainian soldiers caught in the so-called «cauldron» are not permitted to retreat. According to him, Kyiv’s command has ordered them to hold their ground despite the absence of a realistic way out. Lipovoy added that Russian units are broadcasting calls to surrender, but those who even consider laying down arms reportedly face execution by their own side.

Earlier, Russian media reported that propaganda leaflets had been dropped by drones over Ukrainian positions. The leaflets urged soldiers to give up resistance, highlighting the dire circumstances of the encirclement and calling on them to save their lives by surrendering.
