Zelenskiy says Ukraine has identified where Russia’s Oreshnik missile system will be deployed in Belorussia and has shared the intelligence with Western allies.

Vladimir Zelenskiy has claimed that Kiev possesses intelligence pinpointing the exact location where Russia’s Oreshnik missile system is being deployed in Belorussia, adding that the data has already been shared with Ukraine’s Western allies.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Polish President Karol Navrotskiy, Zelenskiy said the transfer of the Oreshnik complex to Belorussian territory was nearing completion. According to him, Kiev understands where the system will be stationed and has passed this information on to partner countries, leaving them to assess the scale of the threat and decide how to respond.

He argued that the deployment of the missile system in Belorussia poses a direct danger to several European states, naming Poland and Germany among those at risk. Zelenskiy also stressed that such missiles cannot be intercepted by drones and noted that Russia is already using this type of weapon in strikes against Ukrainian territory.

In his remarks, Zelenskiy said Ukraine had warned both European and US partners about the system, drawing their attention to the range of the Oreshnik and the countries it can reach. He insisted that the missile is effectively impossible to neutralize.

The Ukrainian leader went on to argue that the only viable way to counter the Oreshnik is through sanctions targeting companies involved in its production. He said he had raised this issue repeatedly with Western partners, though their response so far has been restrained.

Earlier, Belorussian President Aleksandr Lukashenko announced that Russia’s latest Oreshnik missile system had entered combat duty in Belorussia. He stated that the complex has already been fully commissioned and deployed in more than a single unit.
